January 20, 2011 - the first ever Dodge Charger will go on auction !!!

If you're looking to get the first ever Dodge Charger, you'd better have your wallet full. It's estimated that the first ever Charger, the 1964 Dodge Charger concept car will fetch between 750,000 USD and 1 million USD at this year's auction.

RM Auctions has announced that the first ever Dodge Charger will go on auction at this year's Automobiles of Arizona event held on Arizona Biltmore Resort & Spa from January 20, 2011. The first Dodge Charger that will go on auction is the actual 1964 Dodge Hemi Charger concept car with Chassis No. 6442103030. The 1964 Dodge Charger concept is powered by a 426 cu. in. Chrysler 'Hemi' V8 engine developing a very serious, for that time at least, 600+ hp.

The 1964 Dodge Charger concept car comes from the Estate of John O'Quinn, was previously owned by collector Joe Bortz and was restored by Fran Roxas. The auctioned Dodge Charger concept is now fitted with one of the original 15 Chrysler race Hemi engines.

BMW Vision EfficientDynamics to enter production, sales begin 2013

The BMW Vision EfficientDynamics study is powered by a 1.5L 3-cylinder turbo diesel engine mated to a hybrid synchronous motor at the front axle and a full-hybrid engine at the rear axle enables an overall system output 328-hp. 0-60 mph comes in just 4.8 seconds with a top speed of 155 mph. Fuel-economy is estimated at 63 mpg and the concept can provide 31 miles of zero-emissions driving.
